Through Smith Publicity, you can take advantage of volume discount pricing and save valuable marketing dollars.
What is Combined Book Exhibit‌
CBE is a book marketing resource that enables you to have your book(s) promoted at trade shows and book fairs in the U.S. and internationally for just a small entrance fee and no travel expenses.
Despite email, Internet, printed catalogs and mailings, there is no substitute for your book having a presence at the most important and influential book trade shows. Your titles will be front and center at the very events the people you want to reach attend specifically to find new books! Whether it is the largest book fair in the world, or any one of the many state library shows CBE attends, trade shows are one of the most valuable ventures of your book marketing efforts. And they have the farthest reach!
CBE is like a “living catalog” or collective of books from publishers of all sizes, including almost any genre, and made available for show attendees to explore. Information on each title and each participating author is collected in an exhibit catalog, unique to each show, and is given to all interested attendees who can then contact you directly. When available, general leads of visitors to the booth are collected to help you build a list of valuable contacts.
In addition, CBE offers Internet-based marketing free with every entry. All the information they collect for the exhibit catalog is included on their online, searchable database at www.TheBookCheckout.com.
CBE's “seniority” on the trade show circuit means your book won't be buried in the back of a show, but will be displayed in a prime location. Additionally, CBE has a large clientele of major publishing houses that will attract further traffic to your titles, whether they're in the CBE exhibit or the booth next door.
Some of the largest shows include:

London Book Fair
London, England-April 11-April 13, 2011
DEADLINE: Friday, March 11, 2011

The London Book Fair (LBF) represents one of the best opportunities (literally) in the world to market your books in a business-to business-atmosphere. LBF generates an average attendance of 25,000 decision makers in the international distribution, publishing, bookselling, library, and other publishing-related industries.

The New Title Showcase is located in a prime position on the show floor (between the two halls of the fair), and with lots of onsite and virtual promotion drawing traffic, the New Title Showcase is the best way to market your books in this international venue. The New Title Showcase catalog and physical exhibit are organized alphabetically by publisher/company.

BookExpo America
New York, NY-May 24-May 26, 2011
DEADLINE: Friday, April 29, 2010

BookExpo America, the largest domestic gathering of the publishing industry, will be debuting a new format: the show will be one day shorter, it will take place earlier in the month, and be held during the week versus the weekend.

The New Title Showcase will remain the prime venue for marketing your titles to a national audience of about 35,000 including media, publishers, agents, distributors, booksellers, librarians and more. The New Title Showcase catalog and physical exhibit are organized alphabetically by publisher/company.

Frankfurt International Book Fair
Frankfurt, Germany: October 12-16, 2011
International Venue

Simply put, the Frankfurt International Book Fair is the largest and most important book fair in the world. While some might top Frankfurt's 250,000 attendance average, the multi-hall, mile long fair ground in Frankfurt hosts the largest contingent of publishing professionals of any book fair.

CBE is located in Hall 8, the English Language hall of the fair, and has space available to market your titles to the largest gathering of booksellers, publishers, agents, authors, distributors, translators, and journalists.
Combined Book Exhibit's catalog and physical exhibit will be organized alphabetically by publisher/company name.
