Award-Winning Journalist and Acclaimed Author Erin Entrada Kelly Joins Smith Publicity Book Marketing Team

CHERRY HILL, NJ – Smith Publicity (, a leading book marketing and book publicity firm with offices in the U.S. and Toronto, has announced that award-winning journalist, editor and acclaimed author Erin Entrada Kelly has joined their book marketing team to represent the firm’s growing list of clients and develop an expanded portfolio of services.

Kelly has more than 15 years of experience as a journalist, magazine editor, and public relations specialist and has worked extensively as an independent writer, editor, and editorial consultant. She has ghost-written novels, screenplay adaptations, abridged manuscripts and content marketing collaterals. As an editor, she has worked with fiction and non-fiction authors across various genres and has earned numerous writing, editing, and advertising awards from organizations like the Louisiana Press Association, Associated Press, and the American Advertising Federation.

Kelly ( is the author of Blackbird Fly (HarperCollins/Greenwillow), a 2015 Junior Library Guild Selection and ALA Notable Book Award nominee. Blackbird Fly received starred reviews from Publisher’s Weekly, School Library Journal, and Kirkus. Her second novel, The Land of Forgotten Girls, will be released in March 2016. Kelly has also published more than 30 short stories in print and online publications worldwide and is a two-time Pushcart Prize nominee.
