Friday Publishing News Link Roundup – Women’s History Month edition

A weekly roundup of what people are talking about in book marketing and book publicity.

Women's History Month really kicked off this week with International Women's Day on Wednesday. The bookish community marked the occasion with celebrations and with statements. Loganberry Books in Shaker Heights, Ohio illustrated the gender gap in fiction by turning all the book by male authors around, as seen above. The results are striking. This display is on view through March 14.

Buzzfeed books came up with a list of 27 Books Every Woman in America Should Read. We're betting men would get a lot out of them, too.

The creators of Good Night Stories For Rebel Girls put together this video to illustrate the role of girls and women in the stories we read to our children.

Book Riot has 100 Must-Read Classics by Women. How many have you read?
